Dear teachers and students (and anyone else who loves maths)
My two maths-mad colleagues, Mark and Richard, and I (Andy Hardy) will be posting articles, updates, videos and anything else that may prove useful to keep you informed about Mathster and the wider maths world.
We’d also love to hear from teachers about how you like to use Mathster.
…do you use the site as an individual teacher to facilitate your teaching, homework or class assessments?
…or do you use it within your department for topic/termly/end of year assessments?
If this is your first time using Mathster, why not try clicking on the ‘Help Videos’ icon at the top of this blog to get some ideas on the variety of ways that Mathster can be used by teachers and students. If you haven’t already, please try a one-month free trial, either as an individual teacher or as a school.
Best wishes for 2016!
Andy
My school is only a recent convert to Mathster, but we won’t be turning back! Currently we use Mathster for setting both homework and classwork (all pupils have their own Chromebooks). I love the way the questions are broken down into specific types and that you have complete control over the order and number of questions pupils complete, as well as the number of attempts pupils have. The fact that pupils get instant feedback is very motivating. I am also very impressed that when I requested some extra question types of area of a triangle (to include more questions on a grid as well as problems where the slope height was given, Andy Hardy set about this straight away and delivered exactly what was requested.
Thanks Alex, really appreciate the feedback!
I cannot fault Mathster as a resource for Maths teaching. The format is fantastic and I can find what I need easily. It has saved hours of preparation. In addition to this, whenever I have a query or request, Andy Hardy replies instantly and adds exactly what I need. Thank you Mathster!
Thanks Susie, a pleasure to be of help to your maths department!
