change 49 to 72 first. Now you have (72)3/2.

Now multiply indices (power of a power rule). 

2 x `3/2` = 3

so you have 7as your answer.

Alternatively, if you understand that the fractional part of the power is a root e.g. the 2 in `3/2` means square root, then root of 72 (from the 49) gives 7, leaving 73 as your answer as before.
